Membership Info

Below are the Requirements for the 2 Types of Membership Offered by The Association

Active Membership

A company must be actively engaged in exploration for and/or production of oil and/or gas in the area covered by the Association. This area includes all waters in the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean adjacent to the United States of America.

The company must have a qualified representative (Scout) who cannot represent more than one concern (company) to attend and participate in the weekly meetings.

A written application must be submitted to the President of the Association stating the applicant company has read the bylaws of this corporation and agrees to abide by same.

To obtain membership the applicant must submit a check for $2520 (first year dues) and receive approval by a majority of the current active membership.

Associate Membership

A company must be actively engaged in exploration for and/or production of oil and/or gas in the area covered by the Association. This area includes all waters in the Gulf of Mexico and Atlantic Ocean adjacent to the United States of America.

A member company is not required to provide an active representative (Scout) to participate in the weekly meetings, but is required to designate a qualified individual to report information on wells drilled by his/her company in the area covered by the Association.

A written application must be submitted to the President of the Association along with a check for $2520 (first year dues) and acknowledge the applicant company has read the bylaws of the corporation and agrees to abide by same.

To obtain Association Membership the applicant company must receive approval by a majority vote of the current active members and agree to pay $1250 per month Associate Member fee.
